If this is the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, it sure looks good

Curved, cool, confident. You might be looking at the Galaxy Note 7.

We've heard a lot of rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (including the fact that it's leapfrogging the Note 6), but what we haven't seen so far is a good, clear picture of the anticipated phone.

That changes with the latest "leak" from frequent Twitter tipster Evan Blass, known better on Twitter as @evleaks. Blass posted an image of three phones that could be the Note 7. The renders seem to confirm what we've already heard: that the Note 7 will have a curved front-screen and iris scanner, and that it'll come in some shade of blue. (If you look realllllly closely, you can just make out the nubbin of S Pen stylus peeking out of the bottom right when the phone is face up.)

The most striking thing about these photos to me is the exact shade of blue, called Blue Coral here (the other two are supposedly Black Onyx and Silver Titanium). Samsung has dabbled in brilliant aqua and royal blue colors, but thi s is a new one, and so far I like what I see.

Samsung often throws in a wild card hue, but it's up to the local carriers which colors they want to sell, and they often stay conservative. Still, with Samsung making strides in selling unlocked versions of its phones even in saturated markets like the carrier-controlled US, there's a better chance Blue Coral gets its fair shake, assuming the photo here is legit.
