Note 5 Screen Went Black

Problem: Hello droid guy i have a samsung galaxy note 5..and the problem is that the other day i was playing a game and while i was playing the screen went black and the buttons still work and when i get a message the small blue or yellow light starts flashing but if i press home button the screen wont turn on just the two corner buttons will be white and i already try power button and volume down and it will go off and then on but the screen wont turn on only the light and the two corner buttons.. do you think is the display.

Solution: If the screen is black but the phone is still getting notifications then the issue is most likely caused by the display. Try starting your phone in Safe Mode to check if an app is causing this problem. While the phone is in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are disabled. If the problem doesn't occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then proceed with starting your phone in recovery mode. This is a separate environment independent from the main operating system of your phone. This allows you to check if the problem is caused by the phone software. If the screen appears normal in this mode then I suggest you do a factory reset from here. Take note that this will delete your phone data.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I suggest you have your phone checked at a service center.

Note 5 Only Works With S Pen

Problem: My problem with this samsung note 5 is the screen. It just happen by around  9:30 pm  . If i touch my phone using my hand . Fingers. It doesn't work but if i use  the spen its working. I Doubt it if the screen is broken. This phone several time have been drop accidentally but its works fine pls reply i need answers what the hell is happening to my phone.

Solution: You need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is done do not install anything in your phone yet. You should first check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn't then the problem could just be caused by a software glitch or by an app you installed. If the issue still remains then it's very likely that it is caused by a damaged digitizer. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 5 Screen Is Black

Problem: Hi. My phone screen went blank one morning. Sounds are still there. Plugged in my earphones and still able to play music using the play button on the earphone. I tried removing the battery and pressing the power button for three mins.  When the time was up and after inserting the battery, I tried to turn it on but I still had the blank screen with the sounds  still working. Basically no change. Do you have any other ways to help me with this dilemma? Any advice would be appreciated very much. Thanks.

Solution: Try starting your phone in recovery mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then I recommend that you do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete your phone data. If you are unable to access recovery mode or if the screen is still black in this mode then I suggest you bring your phone to a service center and have the display checked.

Note 5 Screen Is Unresponsive

Problem: My phone is about a year old now, I've kept it in a case and behind a screen protector for the duration of my ownership. In the past 24 hours, I've noticed the screen becoming progressively less responsive to touch. In the last hour it has become intermittently responsive to touch and is altogether failing to recognize my interactions a majority of the time. I've restarted the device to attempt to resolve the issue to no avail. Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Solution: Sometimes this kind of problem occurs whenever the phone has accumulated a lot of cached data. Try starting your phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition. Once this is done check if the screen is now responsive to your touch. If the issue still occurs then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Check if this fixes the problem.

One other factor that you should consider that is causing this problem is the screen protector. Try removing this screen protector then check if the problem disappears.

Note 5 Bubbles Under The Screen

Problem: It may have been addressed already. But my Note 5 i got in may has bubbles under the screen on the top edges. It looks like the screen is pulling away. Sprint, Samsung and Best Buy all say it's not their problem. Any ideas as to cause and a fix of this? Just reglue the screen down?  Thanks for any help

Solution: Glueing the screen to secure it works in this case. Make sure to check some of the YouTube tutorial available online on how to replace the screen of this device so you will know the procedure on how to properly apply the glue.

Note 5 Bottom Screen Not Working

Problem: I brought my phone into my carrier and they said there is water damage. It never got wet. Anyways only the bottom portion of my screen does not work, unless i use the pen. So I would like to fix it myself but not sure what part I need since the phone is less than 2 months old and nothing else wrong with it.

Solution: It looks like the digitizer of the phone has been damaged. Try to do a factory reset first to check if the problem is software related. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing this. If the factory reset fail to resolve the issue then you need you need to have the display assembly replaced since the digitizer is fused to the display.

Note 5 No Display After Phone Got Dropped

Problem: The phone fell off my pocket .the led light was working but the screen turned blank and suddenly the phone started heating up. When i tried charging it the led light appeared but no screen . the phone companion app couldn't detect it as well

Solution: It's very likely that the display has been damaged by the drop. I recommend you have this checked at a service center.
