The August 2 "unpacking" of the number-skipping Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is closer than ever, and yet, we know far less about it today than two or three weeks back. Blame it on all the confusing, contradicting new benchmarks, hinting at a few different configurations here, some of which may however have been canceled already.
Still, you can probably bet the farm on the top-shelf model packing 6GB RAM, in combination with a Snapdragon 820-series processor or an Exynos 8893, depending on your region. This bad boy will also come touting a dual-edged Quad HD display circling the 5.7-inch diagonal mark, and fetching as much as €850 on the old continent, according to a fresh rumor relayed by SamMobile.
That equates to almost $940, which sounds excessive by US standards, but it's only 50 Euros more than what Samsung charges for the Galaxy S7 Edge in many European countries. Ergo, it should ultimately translate to an American unlocked tag of $850 tops, which is still a lot, though not exactly an unwarranted small fortune.
After all, we're expecting the Galaxy Note 7 to feature ultra-premium specs like iris authentication, USB Type-C connectivity or IP68 water resistance, and it's possible we'll get a massive 4,000 mAh battery as well.
