Samsung Galaxy Note 7 vs. Apple iPhone 7 – Which One To Wait For?

Today we will compare the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Apple iPhone 7, which are two upcoming devices whose specifications haven't been revealed yet. However, there are plenty rumors that anticipate what changes will be made to these successors and we'll use them to compare the two devices.

Designs

There is no information regarding the Galaxy Note 7 measurement and weight and we have no idea how it will look like, as Samsung has been very secretive about this device, but there are high chances to come with the same design as the Galaxy S7. It seems that the iPhone 7 will measure 138.3×67.1×7.1mm and it won't be very different from the iPhone 6S in terms of design.

Displays

The Galaxy Note 7 comes with a super AMOLED display of 5.7-inch that supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels at 515 ppi and it's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 will have a smaller LED-backlit IPS LCD display of 4.7-inch that will support a lower resolution of 1334×750 pixels at 326 ppi and it will be protected by a ion-strengthened glass.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Galaxy Note 7 will come in two variants of chipsets, processors, and graphics cards, as follows:

– Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 or Exynos 8893
– Procesor: dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.3GHz and a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz or a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.6GHz and a quad-core CPU clocked at 1.6GHz
– Graphics Card: Adreno 530 or Mali-T880 MP12
– RAM: 6GB.

The iPhone 7 is expected to feature a new Apple A10 chipset, which we are not sure what processor it will use, but it will be backed by 2GB of RAM.

Storages

The Galaxy Note 7 will be released in three internal storage variants of 64GB, 128GB and 256GB which you will be able to expand up to 256GB. The iPhone 7 will also come in three internal storage variants of 16GB, 64GB and 128GB, but you will not be able to expand it as it doesn't feature a microSD card slot.

Cameras

The Galaxy Note 7 will sport a primary camera of 12MP that will feature phase detection autofocus, OIS, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, auto HDR, panorama, face detection and a secondary camera of 5MP. The iPhone 7 will come with a primary camera of 12MP that will feature dual-LED flash, phase detection autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP.

Batteries

The Galaxy Note 7 will be powered by a 4000 mAh non-removable battery, but it is not known yet what battery the iPhone 7 will have.
