The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is a mid-range smartphone with a sleek design that was released in April, while the OnePlus 3 arrived in June with a totally new design, making fans forget about the sandstone black texture. The Galaxy J5 (2016) measures 145.8×72.3×8.1mm and weights 159 grams. It has a metallic body slightly curved on the edges and it's available in colors such as White, Black, Gold and Rose Gold. On the other hand, the OnePlus 3 is slimmer and slightly lighter as it measures 152.7×74.7×7.4mm and weights 158 grams. Its body is made of aluminum as well, the back is curved and it has two thin lines at the top and bottom, just like the HTC 10.

Displays

The Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a super AMOLED display of 5.2-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 282 ppi. The OnePlus 3 has a bigger optic AMOLED display of 5.5-inch that supports a higher resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Galaxy J5 (2016) features a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, an Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The OnePlus 3 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset, a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and a dual-core Kryo CPU clocked at 2.15GHz, an Adreno 530 graphics card and 6GB of RAM.

Storages

The Galaxy J5 (2016) has been released with an internal storage of 16GB which you can expand up to 256GB using a microSD card. The OnePlus 3 comes with an internal storage of 64GB, but it doesn't have card slot for storage expansion.

Cameras

The Galaxy J5 (2016) sports a primary camera of 13MP that features LED flash, autofocus, touch focus, face detection, geo-tagging and a secondary camera of 5MP. The OnePlus 3 has a better primary camera of 16MP that features phase detection autofocus, LED flash, OIS, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 8MP.

The Galaxy J5 (2016) is powered by a removable battery of 3100 mAh, which is less powerful than the non-removable 3000 mAh battery that the OnePlus 3 houses.
